Political engagement is a topic most shy away from, but Carrera Performance Group has been leading the fight to keep public lands open to the public with our participation in the California Motorized Recreation Council (CMRC), and the Off-Road Business Association (ORBA). In addition, Jeff Knoll is an appointed member of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) Special Recreation Permit Sub-Committee, and is the CMRC Johnson Valley Chairman. Knoll serves as the ORBA delegate on the CMRC board, a position that is composed of leadership of the eight largest land use advocacy groups in California. Knoll is a member of the Blue Ribbon Coalition and a Charter member of Tread Lightly.
Carrera Performance Group has produced economic impact reports on Johnson Valley and is currently working on an economic impact report for California OHV use. Carrera Performance Group produces press releases and editorial content for the ORBA, ISA, and CMRC. Knoll meets with legislators in the California State Capitol, and Washington,
